All Dressed in Orange

We took the kids to Knoxville for the weekend for a little UT tailgating. We didn't attempt the game this time, but we enjoyed watching Caleb in the Game Day atmosphere. We walked around campus a little, went to the UC to buy Caleb a football and Clara a pompom, and tailgated with Seth's fraternity brothers. Then we headed back to the hotel to watch the game with Grandma and Granddaddy Wise. It was great day ... would have been better with a UT win though.

Here we are ready to leave the hotel.

Caleb loves garbage trucks these days. He actually got to climb on this orange UT garbage truck.

Clara stayed in the stroller for most of our walk around campus. I nursed her at the Pike house - one thing that I know I never imagined myself doing when I was hanging out at the Pike house 10 years ago.

Caleb ended up falling asleep on our walk ... a blessing on a hot, busy day.

Caleb at the tailgate ... just rotten.

Caleb and Jackson

Going to Jenna's birthday meant Caleb got to see his favorite boy Jackson. They were pretty good overall considering they are two slightly territorial and 100% all-boy preschoolers. I love watching Caleb and Jackson play together and I feel so blessed that they will have each other to laugh and play with as they grow up. They'll just have to watch out for Jenna and Clara in the coming years!

Cousin Jenna Turns One

We traveled to Asheville NC this past weekend for our niece's first birthday. We can't believe that sweet strawberry blond Jenna is already a year old. These kids need to stop growing so fast!

Caleb thoroughly enjoyed the cupcake ... as usual.

It was special day because Seth, Amber and their cousins, Laurie and Karen, were all together. It was our first time meeting Laurie's adorable daughter, Harper.

And here are the kids of the cousins. I stole this picture from Laurie's blog. She did a much better job of capturing the kids actually looking at the camera - an almost impossible task considering that the two boys do everything they can to avoid having their picture taken.

A Visit to the Zoo

Last week Caleb had a date with Mommy at the zoo. Clara went to school for the day while Mommy and Caleb met Emily, Blake and Blair at the Nashville Zoo. Caleb was super excited to see animals, and Mommy was happy to have a little one on one time with little man.

Blake cracked me up with his little zoo guide. He reminded me of when I was a little girl. Like Blake, I always had to have the map and direct everyone where we were going next.

My Little Gerber Baby

We had Clara's 3-month pictures done this morning. Here's a link to a sneak peak of a few: http://brookekellyphotography.blogspot.com/2009/09/clara-g.html

I'm sure there will be more to share next week when I get the full CD, but I love these, especially the one above!
