Caleb's Turn

Caleb has a new toy laptop and he likes to pretend to be like Mommy and Daddy with it. We have this table set up in our room until we find a desk to match our new bed, and Seth and I work at it on our laptops. Caleb saw me at the table the other day, ran out of the room, grabbed his laptop and then came back in the room. He looked at me and said, "Excuse me Mama, Caleb's turn." Of course I let him right up.

The Nursery - It's Done!

Clara's nursery is officially complete. I had such a good time planning it. My friend Susannah made the crib bedding and did all the monogramming. It means so much to me to have her work in Clara's room. I handed down Caleb's bedding to a friend with no problem but this bedding will be hard to part with when Clara is finished with it.

Caleb & Clara's Bathroom

Well, we are still finishing up the nursery, but I'm thrilled to say that the kids' bathroom is finished. Special thanks to my super talented friend Susannah who made the shower curtain, monogrammed the towels and painted the stool. Also thanks to my mom who painted the bathroom. I love the way it turned out!

Clara's Shower

Several girlfriends of mine hosted a beautiful shower for Clara this past weekend. It was so special to me to be able to celebrate her upcoming arrival with all these women. I hope Clara will cherish her girlfriends as much as I do mine.

Here I am opening a beautiful dress - I'm really thinking, "Wow, am I really having a girl?!" I was hestitant about having a shower for the second child, but I'm glad I agreed. I got so many beautiful things that Clara just had to have!

Caleb's 2nd Birthday

We planned a casual party with friends, pizza and cupcakes. We actually had a tornado warning right before the party started, so the three of us were ready to jump in our "safe space." Thankfully, the storms blew over and Caleb's friends got to come over.



Caleb ate the cookies and icing off the first cupcake and then asked for more cupcake. Smart boy.

Count Jackpot

Caleb celebrated his 2nd birthday last Thursday. We let him start off the day by opening up a couple of presents from Grandma and Grandpa Good. He hit the Count (his current favorite Sesame Street character) Jackpot! Here's some video - it's a little long ... sorry!
